Joppa (or in biblical time Jaffa) is a port city on the Mediterranean Sea. It is mentioned in both the Old Testament (Jonah and the whale) and the New Testament (the conversion of Cornelius by Paul). Today, this sea side location is a great first stop on any Israel pilgrimage.
