What Christian Leaders Say About Faith Journeys
Deacon Bill Garrett, Archdiocese of Atlanta and President Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High SchoolA pilgrimage to the Holy Land is a rare and privileged event. Every person of faith should make such a trip a priority in one's life. However, great care is needed to make sure the experience reflects the intent of the traveler. Without careful planning, advanced preparation and attention to details while in the Holy Land, the pilgrimage can fall short of expectations. Faith Journey's is a trusted, experienced partner who can make sure your journey is a critical step towards a deeper communion with Our Savior and his people.
Dr. Guy Higashi, President, Pac Rim Christian CollegeWe have done numerous tours to the Holy Land, but the most rewarding and fulfilling one of all was our recent one with Faith Journeys. In addition to all the great touring we enjoyed, our group spent time putting their faith into action by volunteering. Faith Journeys understands the importance of serving and giving back, and has the contacts to facilitate meaningful "Global Voluntourism." They arranged for us to dialogue and ministered to the patients at the Bethlehem Arab Disability Rehabilitation Hospital, a highlight of our trip. We also got to play our "Ukuleles for Peace" at several venues. Our group thoroughly enjoyed being part of Faith Journeys' "SEE, STUDY and SERVE" program. I highly recommend Faith Journeys
Father George Schroeder, Catholic Community of the Blessed Sacrament, Scottsdale, ArizonaPilgrimage can be a life-changing experience of God's grace because it is a very special kind of travel. We journey to places touched by God, even as we carry, wrapped in faith, all our own individual desires, needs, hurts, expectations, and hopes. We let the Lord unwrap, unburden, break open, transform and even heal us as we invite Him into the deepest areas of our lives. Faith Journeys has the staff, resources, and expertise to experience this kind of pilgrimage in a very practical caring way."
Fr. Kevin Doran, Secretary General, 50th International Eucharistic Congress, DublinThe Eucharist: Communion with Christ and with one another. In the Spirit of that communion, we look forward to celebrating a truly international Congress: a celebration of faith by all nations. We are particularly conscious of the bond of Communion that exists between Catholics in Ireland and the Catholic Church in the United States. Our team here in Dublin is delighted to work with and support Faith Journeys in promoting the Congress and we look forward to welcoming your pilgrims to our event in June 2012.
Fr. Michael Ume, St. Bernard Catholic Community, Bellflower, CaliforniaPilgrimage is the journey from everyday life to a sacred place where we encounter the Divine. This journey links sacred place and time and allows the pilgrim to transport the sacredness of a place to his or her home. It was a great joy to work with the Faith Journeys team. Our parishioners were inspired, educated and handled with great care every step of the way. We were attended by excellent English-speaking guides, had comfortable, spacious buses, and enjoyed wonderful food and accommodations. We are planning another pilgrimage with Faith Journeys to the Convent of Sr. Faustina, Fatima and Lourdes and more next year. I do recommend Faith Journeys!
Most Reverend Clarence “Larry” Silva, Bishop of HonoluluOur Official Pilgrimage provider, Faith Journeys, has been in close collaboration with the International Eucharistic Congress (IEC) staff in Dublin. Those who have the blessing of going to the IEC will not only find the pilgrimage a great blessing for themselves, but upon their return can help us all to deepen our Catholic identity, nurture lifelong faith formation, and encourage all of us to be better stewards of God's gifts.
Pastor Bruce Van Sickle, Evangelical Free Church of Green Valley, Green Valley, ArizonaWhat a joy our Faith Journeys Tour to the Holy Land these past 12 days has been! We sensed the presence of God in powerful ways as we worshiped the Living God in the land of the beginnings of our faith. Our tour guide was phenomenal as well as the bus driver. Great people to work with. All in all this trip was a 10! I would lead a tour like this again and others. It is in my heart and blood. Kudos to the staff at Faith Journeys for giving us a great tour and for a lifetime of memories.
Pastor Frank Janzow, Ascension Lutheran ChurchThank you for the opportunity to reflect on the amazing trip to the Holy Land that my wife Jan and I experienced along with 24 others. For me a dream God planted in my heart a year ago came true. After visiting the Holy Land last year with a friend on an educational type tour I had a deep longing to return with a group of Christians and worship in various sacred sites. Overall, the most repeated phrase I've heard from people is "It truly did turn out to be The Trip of a Life-time". Thank you to the Faith Journey's Team for making this pilgrimage possible.
Pastor Richard Dannenbring, Christ Lutheran Church & School, Brea, CAThis trip to the Holy Land and Jordan was a once in a lifetime event. It was very emotional and spiritually moving to be in the land where our Lord lived, died and rose for the sins of each person in the world. In Jordan, we actually followed part of the exodus of Moses. Since returning, every time I hear or read the Scriptures my mind is filled with actual images of real places. I simply cannot look at the Bible in the same way ever again. It was the trip of a lifetime that we will never forget and will be able to look back on for the rest of our lives. It was well worth the cost which my people thought was very reasonable and affordable.
Patrick Flahive, President, American Federation Pueri Cantores"Looking back upon my seventeen years as president of AFPC, I can recall no other event where the needs of our choirs were managed with such grace and expertise. Throughout the five-day congress in Rome - busy with rehearsals, concerts, liturgies and other events, and culminating in the Mass of January 1 at St. Peter's Basilica with Pope Benedict XVI - I was never met with anything less than 100% satisfaction in and outspoken enthusiasm for the work of your organization and its staff."
Rev. Robert Fickenscher, Faith Lutheran Church, Fair Oaks, CaliforniaOur church group has toured with Paul Lam and his company since 1985 and has never been disappointed. It has always been a first-class travel experience as all our fellow travelers will agree. Our guides and drivers have always been the most knowledgeable, attentive and very friendly. All accommodations and meals were excellent. The company has also accommodated extra travel arrangements when needed. Travel with Faith Journeys, and you will have an excellent experience!
