International Eucharistic Congress, 2021, Budapest

The Holy Father, Pope Francis, has postponed the upcoming International Eucharistic Congress in Budapest, Hungary in September of 2020. It has now been re-scheduled for September of 2021. This postponement will allow Catholics from around the world to gather safely to share God’s unsurpassable gift to the Church, his bride. Throughout history, the Church has feared no “extravagance” in devoting the best of her resources to expressing her wonder and adoration before her Eucharistic Spouse and Lord.
A clear expression of this “extravagance” can be witnessed at an International Eucharistic Congress. The highlight of the congress is generally the solemn procession and final celebration of the Eucharist. Our updated itinerary options include: Vienna, Krakow, Czestochowa, Dubrovnik, Međugorje, Zagreb, and Prague.

World Meeting of Families, June 2022, Italy

This event, originally scheduled for 2021 has been pushed back to 2022. Rome will be the site of the next World Meeting of Families, causing a great amount of anticipation and excitement. Following the great success of the 2018 event in Dublin, the worldwide Catholic community is looking forward to a return to Rome, which last took place in 2000. The event will focus on the theme “Family Love: A Vocation and a Path to Holiness.” As this World Meeting of Families (WMOF) will fall on the fifth anniversary of Pope Francis’ encyclical Amoris Laetitia, the meeting will reflect on the spirituality of the family in light of the call to holiness expressed in Gaudete et Exsultate.

World Youth Day, 2023, Portugal

The selection of Portugal for the site of the next World Youth Day was a welcome choice for the worldwide event that would gather catholic youth from around the world in the summer of 2022. However, with the moving of other international events, it was decided that World Youth Day should be moved back, as well. So, it was announced by the Vatican earlier this year, to move the event to 2023. Since the event centers of youth, this extra year of planning and preparations should yield great returns for the church. The draw of Portugal should be great, with optional visits to sites throughout the country and, possibly, into Spain. It is unclear, at this time, if Fatima will be included as an official WYD23 site, but we will work with every group leader traveling with Faith Journeys to incorporate it and any other sites they wish to visit while attending World Youth Day – Portugal.

2021 Faith Journeys Chorus Pilgrimage to Israel

Being my first time on pilgrimage made me feel uncertain, and seeing the schedule and accommodations Faith Journeys provided made me feel at peace. It was an incredible experience, full of the Holy Spirit! We enjoyed the huge gatherings and the Fiat Festival because we got to meet many young people and take tons of pictures. We felt at peace and unity during the Vigil of the Mass when we experienced Adoration and the Rosary under the stars in the middle of over 700,000 people who were praying the same prayers as us. The drivers and tour guides were awesome and accommodating!
