Planning FAQ – Registration and Payments

In this ongoing series, we cover some of the common questions leaders have when considering a pilgrimage with their group. This week’s topic is:

“Do I have to collect forms and money from each individual participant?”

One of the hardest things about planning your first pilgrimage is figuring out all of the potential pitfalls and extra work that could be involved in the process. Churches are busy places with limited staff and resources. That’s why, at Faith Journeys, we try to make the process as easy and convenient as possible, for both you and your fellow pilgrims.

We are now using an online portal for the setup and registration of your pilgrimage group!

When your proposal is complete and you’re ready to move forward, we’ll send you a link to our new portal. After creating a group profile, you’ll receive a link to your group’s page that contains all of the information your fellow participants could want to know. That link can be shared however you want (email, social media, church website, and newsletter).

Each participant will be able to visit the group portal, create a username, view tour resources, register, and make a deposit. You, as the leader, will have access to a list of every currently registered participant and will be able to contact those people through the portal, for ease of group communication. You can also designate a second tour host, group leader, or travel coordinator if desired.

Faith Journeys will continue to supply you with printed materials (brochures, flyers, ads) and also create and design any digital media you may need to promote your pilgrimage. Through Facebook ads, HTML-coded email newsletters, and formatted ads that are ready to be inserted into your church’s audio/visual productions, we have your advertising needs covered. And, if desired, we can produce a spotlight video for you to post and share on social media or your website.

So, if you have concerns about the extra time and work that will be involved in collecting registration forms and asking people for money to pay for their trip, there is no need to worry. Faith Journeys will handle all of the “heavy lifting” involved in planning your group’s next spiritual journey. From the time you choose an itinerary to the day you return from your pilgrimage, Faith Journeys is there, guiding you and supporting you through the process as your spiritual partner through pilgrimage travel.
