Tiny, unimportant, unassuming Bethlehem, less than 10 miles from Jerusalem and found in the Judean Mountains was long foretold to become the birthplace of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Surrounded by shepherds’ fields it doesn’t really seem the place where the Savior of the World should be born, but it was.
