Holy Land
Follow in the steps of Jesus Christ
It was by the Sea of Galilee that Jesus told Peter and Andrew, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” We’ll follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ as we pilgrimage through the Holy Land, the Land of the Bible, from Bethlehem, where He was born, to Nazareth, His boyhood home; from Jerusalem, where, as a twelve-year-old, he was already “about [his] father’s business,” to the lands of Galilee where He was baptized in the River Jordan and where He taught and preached and healed the people. What thrilling, once-in-a-lifetime experiences await us as we behold these and other sacred places where Jesus walked-the Mount of Olives, the Sea of Galilee, the Temple Mount, the Wailing Wall, Gethsemane, and the Holy Sepulcher-all will take on new depths of religious and personal meaning.
Inspirational Masses in Ancient Christian Churches
We also celebrate life-changing Masses along the way as we visit ancient Christian churches, temples, convents, and cathedrals, as we see with new eyes holy shrines and renowned works of art depicting scenes from the Bible, the Trinity, the Virgin Mary, and the early Saints who played important roles in the history of Christianity.
As we walk where Jesus walked, we can’t help but think of His wondrous stories, like the parable of the Good Samaritan, where one man showed great compassion to another. Jesus told this story in answer to the question, “Who is my neighbor?” and concluded with words for our troubled world: “Go and do likewise.”
