Day 1 | Depart USA

Depart via scheduled air service. The destination is Milan, Italy.

Milan

Duomo di Milano

Day 2 | Milan

Arrive in Milan. Meet your Faith Journeys Tour Manager who will assist the group to awaiting chartered motorcoach.
Travel into the city for a panoramic coach tour stopping at sites along the way. Visit the Duomo di Milano and tour the building. After lunch, visit Santa Maria delle Grazie to view the famous “The Last Supper”, by Leonardo Da Vinci (subject to confirmation). Transfer to your hotel and check-in. Evening Welcome Dinner. Service of Compline and overnight.

San Carlo Square in Turin Italy

Day 3 | Turin

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning enjoy a day trip to the city of Turin. Visit the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist to view the famous “Shroud of Turin”, if available. Lunch, on own. Spend some time exploring the area. Return to Milan for free time. Evening dinner and overnight.

Venice

Day 4 | Venice

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out of your hotel and travel to Venice. Lunch, on own. Upon arrival, begin with a guided tour of La Serenissima, including a visit to the Basilica of St. Mark, which is architecturally a Byzantine wonder covered in golden mosaics and art treasures. Visit other sites in and around the Piazza San Marco including the Doge’s Palace, home to the political leader of the Republic of Venice. Afternoon, completion of sites and exploration, shopping, or other activities. Check into your hotel and enjoy an evening dinner and Compline.

Florence

Day 5 | Bologna & Florence

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out of your hotel and travel to Bolognia, arriving in the late morning. Visit Piazza Maggiore and the Basilica of San Petronio. Time permitting visit the Santuario di Madonna di San Luca. Following lunch, continue on to Florence. Upon arrival, visit Santa Maria del Fiore, the Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the bronze “Gate of Paradise. Afternoon, completion of sites and exploration, shopping, or other activities. Evening dinner and Compline, before overnight in Florence.

Day 6 | Florence

After breakfast, travel to the Academy of Fine Arts which contains masterpieces from iconic Italian artists including Michelangelo’s David and spend the morning exploring its treasures. Lunch will be in the area. In the afternoon, enjoy some free time to explore Florence and your own interests in the area. Dinner and overnight in Florence.

Assisi

Assisi, Italy

Day 7 | Assisi

Breakfast at the hotel, check out and travel to nearby Assisi. Lunch, on own. Visit the Basilica of St. Francis. Take a walking tour of Assisi, which includes the presumed birth place of St. Francis, the Chiesa Nuova. Time permitting, find a spot for a service of Holy Eucharist. See where St. Francis knelt before the San Damiano crucifix to hear Jesus tell him to rebuild His church. In the afternoon, gather for a service of Holy Communion (location pending). Dinner and overnight in Assisi.

Rome

Rome Colosseum in Italy

Day 8 | Rome

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out of hotel and travel to Rome. Lunch, on own. Upon arrival visit the Colosseum. In the afternoon, visit the Basilicas of John Lateran and St. Croce. Check into your hotel. Evening dinner and overnight.

Day 9 | Rome

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, start the day with a tour of the Catacombs of Priscilla. Lunch, on own. Visit the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls. Time permitting, see the oldest road from Roman times (the Appian Way), the Domine Quo Vadis, the Baths of Caracalla, and the Arch of Drusus. The afternoon will be free to explore personal interests. Evening dinner, Compline, and overnight.

Day 10 | Rome

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning we will visit Vatican City to attend an Audience/Blessing with our Holy Father (if available). Lunch, on own. After lunch, tour the Vatican Museums, which house what can be described as the most important collections of art in the world, including the Sistine Chapel. Evening dinner and overnight.

Day 11 | Rome

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit St. Paul’s within the Walls, the first non-Roman Catholic church built within the walls of the Vatican. Join together for a service on Holy Eucharist at the church. Lunch, on own. Enjoy time at leisure for additional sightseeing and exploration. Evening dinner and overnight.

Depart for Home

Day 12 | Depart for Home

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Rome’s airport for return flight.
