Discover the land of Martin Luther and inspirational Reformation sites on a religious tour of Germany – Faith Journeys
The Land Of Martin Luther
Martin Luther’s posting of his 95 Theses on the door of All Saints’ Church in Wittenberg, Germany in 1517 (objecting to the sale of indulgences) marked a new and fervent religious force throughout Germany and Europe known as the Christian Reformation. Biblical Tours, Christian Tours and Christian Group Tours of this holy land provide us with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to renew our faith in Jesus Christ, to find communion one with another, and to more fully appreciate the evolution of Christianity as we follow the footsteps of a man who changed the course of the world.
Discover Inspirational Reformation Sites
As we make our way through the beautiful cities and lovely countryside of Germany, we’ll find much to see: monuments along the “Luther trail,” castles like the one at Wartburg where Martin Luther, disguised as “Knight George,” translated the New Testament into German, magnificent cathedrals housing sacred relics and world-renowned works of art (like the stained glass windows in the All Saints’ Church which depict scenes from the Bible and from the lives of the early Christians, Apostles, and Reformers), and cities such as Worms where Luther was called to appear before the Imperial Diet after refusing to retract his views (with the legendary words, “Here I stand, I can do no other”).
Our pilgrimage through Germany will leave us with a greater appreciation for the courage and convictions of Martin Luther and others who participated in the Reformation. Perhaps we will even come away with a desire to live our own lives more purposefully.
