In 1743, John Wesley drew up what is still the nucleus of the Methodist Discipline: It is therefore expected of all who continue therein that they should continue to evidence their desire of salvation: first: By doing no harm, by avoiding evil of every kind; secondly: By… doing good of every possible sort, and, as far as possible, to all; and thirdly: By attending upon all the ordinances of God. We are about to embark on a thrilling journey to follow in the footsteps of the founders of Methodism. We will not only be swept up by the beauty of the cities and villages where they lived and worked, but we will also gain a deep appreciation for their remarkable lives. Perhaps we will even come away with a desire to live our own lives more courageously.
