Tour ItineraryDay 1: Departure from the USA and Arrival in Mexico City Depart the USA and meet your Faith Journeys’ Pilgrimage Manager upon arrival in Mexico City, who will assist you to the awaiting chartered motorcoach for a transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Mexico City. Day 2: Mexico City After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Teotihuacan to see the ancient Pyramids of the Sun and Moon and view from inside the extraordinary Temple of Quetzalcoatl. Time for Buffet lunch included. Then, continue to transfer to the Basilica of Guadalupe for reflection and Mass. Afterwards visit of Tulpetlac church and return to Mexico City for dinner and overnight at the hotel. Day 3: Mexico City After breakfast at hotel, enjoy sightseeing of the city, including the Zocalo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, National Palace, Templo Mayor, Ministry of Education, Palacio de Bellas Artes, Alameda Park. Return to hotel for dinner. In the evening, transfer to Ballet Folklorico of Amalia Hernandez. This show could change of location to other historical enclosure, and only performs on Wednesday and on Sunday. Day 4: Mexico City After breakfast at hotel, visit to the Anthropology Museum, Coyoacan, and Santo Domingo Church. Time in the afternoon will be provided for prayer and reflection. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight. Day 5: Guanajuato After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Guanajauato. Upon arrival, enjoy sightseeing including the Mina de la Valeciana and the Cathedral. Check-in to the hotel for dinner and overnight. Optional to walk/follow the “Estudiantina” (please see the supplement) Day 6: Guanajuato – San Miguel de Allende After breakfast at hotel, transfer to San Miguel de Allende. Visit to the Cathedral with Mass, sightseeing of the city, including the visit to the Cultural center of Ignacio Ramirez “El Nigromante” Afternoon at leisure for reflection time. Return to the hotel in Guanajuato for dinner and overnight. Day 7: Guanajuato – Leon After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Leon. Visit the Christo Rey Shrine and the Espiatorio Church, Chapel of Martyres, Espiatorio, Cathedral, and Museum of Sacred Art. Return to Guanajuato for farewell dinner. Day 8: Departure Transfer to Guadalajara’s International Airport for return flight to USA. Our Year of Faith journey to Mexico has touched our bodies, minds, and spirits! Remembering our roots, we return with a renewed commitment to Christ and the Church. We return home to remain active in our parishes; we are called to bring the richness of our cultural roots to life in our communities!
